No.7 Nail Polish

Anyone who knows me knows i love to paint my nails. Well i recently picked up this new colour from No.7 at my local Boots.

The Me Me Me nail polish is such a lovely shade of pink, its definitely a really girly colour.

I probably could have got away with only one coat as the polish was so thick (which I thinks always a good thing), but I always like to do two coats just to make sure. The polish took a little longer to dry than some I've tried before but it was worth the wait.

the great thing about applying this nail polish was the brush applicator! Its new and the shape of it means you can almost coat your whole nail in one sweep! its easy to use and doesn't mean you paint half your finger while trying to paint your nail.

I love the no7 stay perfect collection and pretty sure I will be purchasing more in the future!

What's your favourite no7 nail polish colour?

Ravensburger Puzzle Review - Happy Days, Brighton!

Brighton has been a popular tourist destination for many years. This image, created by Yorkshire-based artist Kevin Walsh, is set in the 1960s and show families, mods and rockers, all enjoying the delights of Brighton and the Palace Pier in particular. Over the years the pier has continued to develop, and now marries exciting fairground rides for thrill-seekers with the best in seaside entertainment and nostalgic charm.

Artist, Kevin Walsh produces lovely oil paintings depicting british culture and town and countryside scenes, mostly from the middle decades of the last century. Kevin Walsh often includes a mechanical or motorized vehicle from the 1950s in his great artwork.

I think this Ravensburger puzzle is great, its very colorful and vibrate making it incredibly eye catching.

The puzzle measures 70 x 50cm approx, and has the fantastic Premium Puzzle Soft Click Technology.

There is a range of ‘Happy Days’  jigsaws available with artwork by Kevin Walsh. As well as Brighton and Blackpool mentioned, the seaside range includes Weymouth and Sidmouth.

The Happy Days Brighton 1000 Piece Puzzle would make the perfect gift for puzzle mad fans just like us! You can purchase this puzzle from Amazon RRP: £11.99, currently reduced to £10.89.

Baking with Children & Peanut Butter Pie Recipe!

My little one loves baking, but sometimes it can be a little difficult when an ovens involved!

Well last week in half term Bethany asked if we could do some baking, so we decided to pick some recipes that didn't involve the oven!

Here's what we made.

Peanut butter Pie

We are big fans of peanut butter in our house.

To make this you will need;

235g Icing Sugar
60g Butter
225g Peanut Butter
50g Cornflakes
200g Chocolate

I also bought baking paper to put on the bottom of my tin so it was easier to get it out once set.

To start you mix the icing sugar and peanut butter together in a bowl, then melt the butter, this can be done in a microwave on a low heat, or on the hob in a glass bowl over a pan of hot water.

Once the butter is melted add it to the mixture and stir in, then mix in the cornflakes (this can take a little while to get it all together).

Once its all mixed together spread it into the tin, you can use any tin, i used a square one.

Next melt the chocolate again this can be done in a microwave on a low heat, or on the hob in a glass bowl over a pan of hot water.

Once the chocolate is melted poor it onto the top of the mixture in the tin and spread to cover the top, then put in the fridge to set.

Once set remove from tin and slice into portions.

And then enjoy!

We also made cornflake cakes to use up the cornflakes that were left over so they didn't go to waste.

We never use a recipe to make cornflake cakes we just melt our chocolate and add in the cornflakes and mix until all coated.

Im a really big kid and i do love a good cornflake cake, they are also very quick to make for little ones who don't have a long attention span, and Bethany loves to scrape the bowl after!

Keep Warm This Winter With Heat Holders

I have recently been browsing online looking for some warm clothing to keep us all warm on our Disneyland Paris trip coming soon, and i discovered these.....

These have to be the Ultimate Thermal Sock.

I always get cold toes in the Winter but with these bad boys there is definitely no chance of that! They are 7 times warmer than a basic cotton sock, with a tog rating of 2.3.

With their advanced insulating yarn which has specially developed fibres to provide high performance insulation against cold these great socks are perfect!

I think I have well and truly fallen in love with them.

The insides are lined with a soft brushed inner, which not only maximizes the amount of warm air held inside the sock but also make them incredibly comfy.

Heat Holders have a range of socks for Men, Women and Children. As well as Hats and Gloves, Tights and Leggings, Snugover and Snuggle up blankets, and Graham Bell Ski Socks.

The Ladies Sock's come in six different ranges, Original, Long, Stripe, Rugby Socks, Wellington Boot Socks and Slipper Socks. All available in different colours.

Heat Holders are available to buy from Sock Shop from £5.99, and they currently have an offer on buy any 3 Heat Holder products and get 10% off!

My Name Tag Clothing Labels - Review!

We recently ordered some label from my nametags so i could label all of Bethany's school clothes, shoes, lunch box and water bottles!

I have always thought it is important to make sure that Bethany's uniform and belongings have her name on them. I know from my own experience of school how easy things can go missing (or put down and left)!

We went on to The Nametags website, where in three easy steps we created our own fantastic labels.

The first step was to type in the nametags text into the three boxes available.
The second step was to pick a design, background, font and font colour.
The third step was to choose the type of name tag we would like, there we two options, 56 colour stickers or 56 colour iron-on!

Once we were happy with the design its a simple click to add to shopping basket and then checkout, incredibly quick and easy.

One sheet of 56 stickers is just £11.95.

The design we picked had a beautiful Butterfly on (Bethany is loves Butterflies). We chose the very girly pink heart background, and Purple (Beth's favourite colour) colour script font.

I decided not to put which class Bethany is in as her school is only small, and it means any left over I could also use for next year.

With 56 labels on a sheet you really can't go wrong.

These fantastic labels also stay on when your child's clothing is washed again and again, They are also dishwasher-proof and microwave safe.

Bethany loved showing her friends her new name labels on everything when she went to school!
